FAQS

Are payment plans available for courses?

Absolutely! We offer both Afterpay and Zip Pay options, and we're happy to tailor personalized payment plans for our Premium and Exclusive packages. These plans are customized to suit each individual's needs and preferences.

For those who need personalized payment arrangements, there's a slight increase of 12% in the overall cost. Additionally, the course will be released in stages, with the technique section being the final part of the release.

What is the process or signing up?

For the Solo Starter option, signing up online and agreeing to the terms and conditions gets you started. You'll receive emails with access to the course. If you encounter any issues accessing it, just shoot me an email, and we'll get it sorted out together.

As for the Premium and Exclusive training, we'll need to connect first before diving into the course. I like to have a chat with potential clients to ensure that we're a good fit for each other. This ensures the training meets your needs and that we'll work well together.

After our initial meeting, I'll send you an online terms of service contract to review and agree to. Once that's sorted, you can make the payment through your preferred method/s.

After payment, you'll receive all your login details. In the course videos, you'll learn about what's required for assessment, how to book coaching calls, and gain access to our private Facebook group.

From there it is for you to get started and become the loctitian and business owner you want to be.

How much time is required in the course to complete it?

The timeline for starting your business can vary based on your preferences and availability. Let's break it down:

ASAP Approach (6-8 weeks): If you're eager to kickstart your business quickly, dedicating 12-18 hours a week can get you there. Within 6-8 weeks, you'll have a fully functional business set up, equipped with proficient dreadlock skills.

Moderate Pace (3-4 months): If you prefer a more moderate pace, aiming for 3-4 months to launch, you can start taking on model clients around 10-12 weeks in. By investing 8-12 hours per week, you'll be ready to start your business within 4 months.

Extended Timeline (6 months): For those who want to take their time, spreading the process over 6 months is also an option. Consistent dreadlocking practice each week, along with a few hours dedicated to business setup and marketing preparation, will lead you to a solid foundation by the end of this period.

Regardless of your chosen timeline, I recommend setting weekly tasks to keep yourself on track and ensure you reach your goals. I can provide examples of this planning to help you stay organized and focused on achieving your objectives.

I have absolutely no experience, does this matter?

Starting with no prior experience puts you in a unique position where you don't have to unlearn any existing neural or muscular patterns or techniques. This means you can focus directly on mastering the specific skills required for this craft.

While you might need to build up your stamina initially before increasing your pace, this shouldn't be seen as a disadvantage. It's a natural part of the learning process for everyone, as we all need time to adapt to standing and working on intricate tasks for extended periods.

I am really unskilled on a computer, will this matter?

This course is specifically crafted with mothers and those with limited computer skills in mind. I've structured it to be easy to follow and have streamlined the systems for efficient learning. You'll find clear instructions on using the programs to create your social media posts, as well as simplified techniques for making your social media marketing straightforward, uncomplicated, and effective.

What method do you use?

When I'm creating new dreadlocks, I take extra care to strengthen the inside of the loc with a gentle backcombing method and reinforce it with some delicate hooking. Then, I weave it up on the outside, using your own hair and a bit of salt spray for that extra hold.

Now, let's talk extensions. I go through the same detailed process, using undreaded hair wefts to make sure your locs blend seamlessly with your natural hair. Oh, and just so you know, I never make extensions beforehand. Each set is made just for you, at the time, to match your hair perfectly.

When it's time for maintenance, I've got a neat combo of gentle crochet techniques and precise threading to keep those stray hairs in check and make sure your dreadlocks stay looking fresh for as long as possible.

And hey, I want you to feel good about what we're doing here, so rest assured, everything I use is completely natural. No harsh chemicals or waxes, just genuine, long-lasting results that you'll love.

FAQ image

How often do I need Maintenance?

For the dreadlocks I make, I usually suggest maintenance every 3-4 months.

Now, if you've been to someone else or started with a different loctitian, your first few appointments might need to be a bit closer together, depending on the condition of your hair.

As your dreadlocks mature, you'll find you need less maintenance, especially if you prefer a more natural look. I've got clients who only pop in every 6-12 months for a chill 1.5-2 hour session and absolutely adore how their dreadlocks turn out.
